I breed mainly for myself, but occasionally have puppies or young adults available as companions. My goals in breeding are to breed to the AKC standard, as well as breeding for sound, healthy puppies in both mind and body. I believe that even though Poms are "Toy dogs", they need to be sound structurally so they can be active, playful, happy companions as well as competitors in conformation, obedience and agility, etc. I have been a member of the Pomeranian Club of Greater Des Moines since 1998, and am currently a board member. I have been an active member of the American Pomeranian Club since 2002, as well as a founding and past member of Iowa Great Lakes Kennel Club. I have taught beginning obedience classes for the public and have worked with two area counties' 4-H dog project members and their dogs for over 20 years.
